The Village of Anagram Although an anagram should technically be the letters of a word or phrase arranged into another word or phrase, such as transforming 'William Shakespeare' into 'I am a weakish speller', it is used here to describe the random jumbling of letters.

Quite simply, the letters of a word or phrase are jumbled up and presented to be solved. To make the challenge a little harder it is possible to play against the clock, more in the style of the Countdown Conundrum known to viewers of the UK's Channel 4 'Countdown' TV programme.
